socal track events

when is the next one you folks are going to be at? i plan to be at buttonwillow with stusa in mid feb and wsir end of feb with scca...

nothing for jan as the car is still in progress...

be nice to see more folks at the track

LOL... bmwcca also has their instructors class at BW in feb 1 week after stusa (fri instructors only, sat and sun are hpde)

but yeah, stusa got some questionable people attending...

Car 1: 2002 RSX
Car 2: 2007 Honda Ridgeline
Car 3: 2005 Honda Civic
Not so much that, but a lot of it has to do with passing rules. I mean, only passing area is front and back straight at SOWS is fine, but no point-by in just about every group is a little loco. And not to mention WTF are the beginners doing in a 2 lane rolling start. IMO, that's asking for trouble.

stusa does need to get with the standard instructors program to get their students set with the correct basic foundation. but they do lack instructors to follow the standard protocols...

the two lane rolling start does look retarded... we have race schools for that and cover way more then just the rolling starts.

One thing I would like to see is for the faster intermedate and advanced groups to see a standing start grid run. That'll be interesting. Hehehe. My years of drag racing in HS would pay off with my uber launching skillizors. LOL

only time you'll see a standing grid start is in a race... i can already picture a multi-car pile up at the grid or t1 at a hpde... lol
