Question 96-98 Stock TL Head Unit

Does anyone know what the small blue connector on the back of the head unit is for?
This is the stock non-Bose double DIN head unit with a fan on the back. It has the standard Honda wiring harness connector and the round CD changer plug but it also has a small blue connector to the right of the main connector that I would like to know about.

Thanks,

So the unit will function normally without anything hooked up to that blue connector?

if you are sticking with the stock unit, why not just use the plug for the blue connector? Too loud for your ears? If so, then im sure its fine without the plug b/c I have an aftermarket deck and those tweeters up ahead aren't working.

I'm planning to put that head unit in another Honda vehicle. The other connections and the mounting are the same but there's no blue plug, so I was wanting to confirm that the blue connector was optional and not imperative.

Thanks for the info.
