Aftermarket HU for 05 RSX-S
Ok... I have a 2005 RSX type-S with the factory bose system. I'm installing an aftermarket head unit, but I want to keep everything else factory (amp, sub and speakers) in a working condition. What do I need?

Your new head unit will deliver too much power to the factory amp, which will likely damage the amplifier. Therefore, I recommend using a line level converter. Use the RCA outputs from your new head unit as the input to the converter, then connect the converter output wires to the speaker wires inside the dash (i.e. the input wires to the factory amp). Make sure the level/volume on the converter is turned down all the way when first powering on the stereo. Follow the instructions that come with the converter to adjust the level appropriately.
