Question Amp Install = Airbag LIGHT!! HELP TO RESET!!

Somebody please help.

I just installed a amp into my TL and after having the battery disconnected for a couple of hours and poof I have the airbag light on.

I'm right out of warranty and the dealer wants $115 to just figureout the problem.
There has got to be an easy way to reset this light.

Somebody please help.
Amp install consisted of :
-Power wire thru firewall and into trunk. Ground to exsisting one in trunk.
-Remote wire to>accessory wire under dash.
-And the RCA cables to source (Sub Input)

Checked all panels, no wires crushed.
Can't figure it out.
Please HELP SOMEBODY.
Thanks ahead of time.
Robert

My guess is that this is going to need a reset from the dealer. I had a similar prolbem with my Volvo. In that situation there is a procedure where the battery can not be disconnected if you have already disconnected the Climate control module. Doing this causes an SRS fault. Probably a similar situation here. Besides disconneting the battery, did you have to pull the radio/climate console out?

Either way, I do not think there is actually anything wrong with your airbag system, but I doubt there is a DIY way to reset the light.

No I didn't pull the radio out. I used the lead going directly to my sub on the back panel.

Well Thanks for the help.

This site is great.
