Can someone explain how to do this correctly? I'm a new owner and very interested in getting this to work. MP3? Audio files? Dash or trunk? If I can put them in the dash, does that mean I can put 6 of them in there?

Handle just like regular CDs
I believe music DVDs are handled just like regular CDs and go in the same place. I've played them and I don't think it makes any difference which position they are in in the in-dash 6 CD changer. It's just a more sophisticated music format like that used in the movie DVDs. You actually get surround sound rather than just R and L and subwoofer. I can definitely hear the difference, but the system is pretty satisfactory with regular CDs. I think my 2006 also plays MP3 files and most computer-type audio files. My older cars do not play as many formats so I think these were added as the years went by to help the consumer with a variety of formats in their music files.
