neon glow pedals make noise through aftermarket sound system

i have the neon glow pedals on my car. they are wired to the head lights and all was fine until i changed my whole sound system. now i have a high pitched sound which is low in volume (sound) when the pedals are lighted with the head lights. i know this is the problem because i disconnect the ground and the high pitched sound disappeared. i have tried powering through other items on the car and about 50 other ground items but no go. this happens even when engine is off, as long as glow pedals are on. i have another set of pedals in my desk at work that are also nice that dont glow, but my kids think that the neon is kewl. my actual question is, is there some sort of resister or transitor that can be solded in between the ground or power to stop this high pitch pissing me off sound?

is it a clean ground??? try sanding out around where the ground is going too... then after that check to see if the lines are interfering with ur radio or speaker connections...

no it appears that the way the new head unit grounds to the frame which is the same ground as the glow pedals that the neon causes the issue. i have read tons of threads where people have put neon tubes all over their cars and had issues with the srs light and messed up sensors for the air bags. i was just wondering if there was an electronic part to place in between the power or ground connections. for the record the glow pedals had no issue with the stock head unit.

i haven't had a problem with my neon tubing under my dash... i have 6 total neon tubes in the car and have not found their way into any electriacal problems and they are all hardwired to the car... u say that the ground shares the ground with the new radio... why not just find another ground for the neon pedals???? there is a common ground behind the driver side left kickpanel where i grounded my alarm and also my neon tubes... no problems there... alot of aftermarket things i have seen including radios always seem to have problems with distortion or interference so just find another CLEAN ground...

Sounds like a ground loop...install a ground loop isolator...I can explain further if you need. I seriously doubt it's a power interference from the neon pedals...but are your signal wires close to it? Do the pedals have some sort of high voltage inverter (doubtful)? Try grounding it to the same place as your stereo system (that should eliminate ground loops, or get the isolator)...

sorry i should have fixed this post lastnight but i was tired. i just removed the glow pedals and put on non powered aluminum pedals with blue rubber nobbies. it was just easier to do and i like the new pedals just as well. also just debadged the 3.2tl looks cleaner like other that have done so. the difference is im leaving the acura letters and i replaced the "A" logo with an aftermarket logo with blue housing, chrome trim and a carbon fiber "A". what the hell figure i would just keep you updated. im also interested in a nos system if you know the best one for our tl i would like to know. i do want a wet system so it will do less harm to the engine. 50-75 hp gain is the level im looking for. i feel 100 shot is too much for our engine and tranny to handle. well not the engine but definately the tranny.

Hmm I plan on getting a NX kit myself...but just a suggestion...I'd make a new thread of it you'll get more replies about the nitrous that way (and put it in a car forum now A/V).

Okay sure. Not a problem. Hmm...I doubt there is such a thing as a best one. I plan on using a NX kit...it's higher quality than Zex while not having to pay for the Holley "NOS" name. Plus the guys are real cool (they're out here in TX)...and I've seen a few of their kits in person before. I would go with them or NOS...one of the two.

As for the shot size...I'd really start out with 50 if I were you, then move up to 75...that's what I'm going to do. But, there are people out there that know a lot more about nitrous oxide then I do...but I've done enough research to know some.
