stock deck won't spit out CD?!?

a friend of mine has a 03 cr-v. I know this is an acura forum but im assuming the stock radio/cd unit is the same. anyhow, her cd won't eject. I asked her to take off the battery terminal and reconnect it, to reset the radio, and she did so but it won't come out.

Is this a common problem? I have an aftermarket deck in my car now but i remember my cd player won't read burned cds (I have a 97 TL). I'm sure the modern acuras/hondas have cd players that can NOW read cd-r disks.. Anyhow.. has this happened to any of you? what did you do to solve it? Id appreciate some help b/c this is my chance to get into her pants.
