ABS code 8-4
What does abs code 8-4 mean? I read from the dtc thread that it means integrated circuit, but what is that? I just replaced the rear sensor after getting a code 1-5. I tried to reset the light, but still getting code 8-4.

There are alot of parts involved with ABS. Go to pdftown.com and search on "acura rl". You'll find a manual that is a 40+ MB download. Get it. Then check your year RL's ABS parts. In my 96 RL, there is an "ABS Control Unit", two under hood relays, a sensor at each wheel, an under dash fuse - relay box, and an "ABS Inspection Connector". If you can find out what part you need, contact me at seamusnh@gmail.com as I may have it.

I downloaded the acura service manual and found out that if the VSA and ABS lights are both on with a code 8-4, it's an issue with the steering angle sensor neutral position. I just followed the procedure to memorize the steering neutral position and the VSA and ABS lights went off.
