Dealership replaced timing belt/water pump and now leaks!
I recently had the 120k service done on my 2000 RL, which included the timing belt/water pump replacement. After 1800 miles, I checked the coolant level, and it was well below minimum. I also noticed coolant residue all over the radiator, hoses, and plastic components. Also, the cooling fans won't come on! Did the dealership do something wrong? A simple mistake, perhaps? Any ideas??? |

More than likely they did something wrong. Timing belt replacement usually comes with a 12 months/12,000 mile warranty. I'd take it back to the shop, they should fix the problem under warranty.

I agree with Budreau68. If it wasn't leaking prior to the dealership's work it's "more than likely" a direct result of their work. Take it back and complain.
