Going through batteries

My 2000 RL has had 3 battery replacements ( soon to be 4) in about as many years. These are kirkland batteries, which I've never had an issue before until 4 years ago. I keep them maintained with the water in the battery cells. The car starts taking longer and longer to start, but eventually it will. Also, the battery will fail the tests that are given when you get your oil changed. Well finally today i need a jump, but the car started and ran fine afterward. Is there something about the car that would be causing me to go through batteries so quickly.

Are the batteries able to hold a charge or does it seem that they're not getting charged back up after running the car?

I too would have to agree with this statement. Spring for the green top Megatron batteries. In my observations, they tend to hold up better than the grey top batteries.

And I've been told to avoid the "water cell batteries"....anyway you can't go wrong with a top of line Interstate battery....

Well, I haven't run a wet battery in my own cars in a long time. I currently run Odyssey PC1200 batteries both in my truck and my wife's Civic. I did have to use a custom mounting bracket (Odyssey batteries are not standard size), but I've been on the same battery in the truck since 2007 without issue.
