Transmission Mounts General

Hey guys,
I have a 2004 Acura rl and i have a terrible vibration problem from around under the center console i was told to check the tranny mounts can someone tell me what they are? how they look? where and how I can check them?
And if there easy to do or not?

Never replaced this on the RL. Checking the service manual, looks like it's above the catalytic converter, and it seems to just be one. you'd need likely a jack to hold it in place. Then it's taking apart the cata conv from the exhaust and removing some wires out of the way.

To test try this: let the car warm up, in your driveway or an out of the way place, put the car in drive, with foot on the brake-rev the engine, while revved drop the trans into neutral, if it slams down and there's a noticeable noise, then the trans mount or engine mount system is bad. If nothing happens, maybe it's ok.

The trans is off to the side of the car, not in the center. Maybe there is something loose under the center cosole itself.
