Spoke to my local Acura dealer and they say that the pricing should be
announced this weekend as it is being introduced to the owners of the
dealerships in Vegas. Has to less than $33000.
Hey I'm new here. I love the looks of that new CSX.
I sure hope it would be less than $33000 even with the Navi... for that price wouldnt it be worth going up to the TSX?
Any idea of Bluetooth. MDX and TL have possibly TSX with navi.
How about CSX.
Will now soon.
There is another thread here that lists the specs. There is no mention of Bluetooth, however Navi is available as an option on the Premium model only.
As far as pricing goes, I highly doubt the $33,000 price tag, as that will make it more expensive than the RSX Type-S. Bet on a sub-$30,000 MSRP, even for the Premium model. My guess is $24,000-$25,000 for the Touring, and $27,000-$28,000 for the Premium without Navi.

Agree with the guesstimate. But even at 24-25K, I think I would rather pay 2K more for an Accord with automatic.
And that's perfectly fine. At the same time, there are some people who would pay $45,000 for a loaded 3-series BMW, despite a Honda Civic, at half the price, has more interior space, and some who think BMW's are grossly overpriced.

It wouldn't, in my opinion, be worth going to the TSX, because the Navi TSX is $39500 or something like that. You're paying about $7000 more for a TSX, which seems like a fair gap.
If you notice, the TL costs about $42000 in "base" form. The TSX starts at $36300 I believe, which makes for nearly a $6000 difference. So it only stands to reason that the CSX premium would be roughly $6-7k less than the TSX. That would put it at a stout $30000 or so. And then Nav is a $3k option if you want it. I think with all the stuff they added, that's perfectly reasonable. Sure you could get an Accord EX-L (4cyl) for that price, but it's a bigger car, and has less features and slightly worse fuel economy.
Acura TL base (Automatic)=42000 +2800 for Navi package = 44800
No Manual Available
......................................+6100 -500.............................(+5400)
Acura TSX base (Automatic)=36100+3300 for Navi package = 39400
.................................................. .................................(+1200)
.........................(Manual)=34900 +3300 for Navi package = 38200
2005 Acura EL base (Automatic) = 24200 +1600 for Premium = 25800
...............................(Manual) =23000 +1600 for Premium =24600
The differance between the EL premium (has leather) and TSX base (with leather is 36100-25800=10300
In 2005 the difference between the TSX and the EL was 10,300!!! If we Assume the current trend and Navi is 3300 (TSX NAVI). If we subtract 6100 ( the difference between base TL and TSX) and subtract another 1600 (the difference for the 2005 premium and touring) The 2006 Acura CSX Touring should be:
I know the car has become more powerful, and there are additional safety features, 16" alloys...But the car is replacing a 2005 car that was priced at 24200 (automatic). Even at 30000 for a base is ridiculaous to have that much of a jump between generations. In 2005 the difference was 10300!!!
Acura knows the Niche for the canadian car market is around 25000. I don no think that thye will deviate.
At most i believe that a standard touring CSX should be at 25500
Loaded Mazda3, with 160hp and 150 torque (4500rpm), fully loaded auto with leather, heated seats, etc. but no navi, is $24,935. The CSX will be a very comparable car, and will not be priced much higher than where the current EL is at to be competitive.
Will there be an upcoming Civic 4 door Si with the 197hp engine? That will be sweeter...
Very much doubt there will be an Si sedan. There has never been an Si sedan in the past (or SiR in Canada), so there's no reason to expect one now. Besides, it would eat into the sales of the Civic Si coupe big time.
