Catalytic converter heat shield - Acura Forum

has anyone removed their catalytic convertor heat shield and not put it back on? bolts on my has rusted through as is making a gawd awful noise. not sure if i can just rip it off and be done with it or if i should replace it?

if you are worried about the heat you can wrap it with a layer of exhaust heat wrap, etc. otherwise rip it off and drive-on
