Just Bought a 2002 1.7 EL (2/28/2008)
Hi fellow EL Owners I' am not only new to an EL but also a newbie to this board so bear with me. I have no mod experience either so very green. Here's my questions just got a 02 EL previous owner did a few mods which I need to know what he did and why and what are the benefits or drawbacks see attached pictures:
Can anyone tell me which brand air intake that is so I can get replacement filer and there is a rubber nipple for one of the sensor connections that is cracked that I might need to replace so the brand would help The stabilizer bar across the front mounts, what is that for and how does it help does this air intake set-up give me better fuel mileage or is the stock setup better with the stock intake and filter there are 2 plastic housings by having only the cone filter do I lose air filter capacity I know the 2nd plastic housing over the stock intake is where the air filter is housed , but is there another filer in the other housing closer to the battery? my front driver seat is a little rocky is this normal because it is height adjustable or is this a problem the previous owner had a sub in the trunk and used alluminium reflective tape to line the trunk is this for sound , heat , please explain |

Nice car! I wanted a blue one but couldn't get it. I forget if it wasn't avail or if it was but had a tan interior (I wanted charcoal to hide dirt).
![]() Anyway... nice setup under the hood. I'd like to put something like that in mine. My drive seat rocks like granny's chair too and it drives me up the wall. Had the seat bushings replaced SIX times and the seat base once. It's a flaw in that seat design (only on the Civics/ELs for a few years. Seems they fixed the problem a year or so later and eliminated the bushings which just wear out). That is my only real gripe with the car. |

i have no ideaa wtf he has installed there
however, back of the car, he has that so the trunk doesnt make crackling/metal sounds because the bass vibrates the trunk cover and makes sounds. its basically so the bass is absorbed within the car/trunk and not onto the metal framework of the car im not sure tho like if how he has it even helps i know some guys use towels to do the same effect. edit: post some exterior pics? |
