i have the opp. to get a 2002 acura el for like 11 grand...70000km. i looked through most of these posts and know there are little or no cosmetic mods u can do without serious $$. so...i was thinking...could the 04-05 package...( the skirts/bumpers, fog lights) would fit a 02 model. the color of the car is like burgendy* not the most attractive for my taste, and this would probably look a lot nicer....even with my color...lol...thanks for your help...one more thing, i noticed on cardomain, that there are ppl with this car with oem bodykits and lip kits. so if anyone knows what im talking about that would really be appreciated. thanks again

There was an (OEM) Aero Kit available through Acura dealers from 2003 on. The 2003 kit will fit 2001-2003 EL's, but the 2004 model had some cosmetic changes to the bumpers and rocker panels (among other changes), so a 2004/2005 Aero Kit will only fit those model years. FYI, fog lights were not part of a package for 04/05 models, they were standard equipment, and would not fit on 01-03 models, as the bumpers are completely different. The Aero Kits were strictly front, rear and side skirts (not bumpers), and rear wing spoiler.

You can buy an aftermarket 01-03 Civic body kit, but the front bumper will require some modification (depending on the kit, this may sound easier than it is) to fit the centre hood and bumper crease of the EL, whereas the Civic had no centre crease.

thank you for your help. i'll go to the dealer and see if i can get the 03 aero package or if it fit. all i'm really looking for is a lip kit. not something dramatic*. I'm not sure if you have seen the 2001/02 honda civic sport with factory lip kit. something like that. thanks though.

I believe the Aero Kit for the 03 EL and Civic Sport kit are identical except for the front skirt. Aside from the centre crease on the EL front skirt, it should be pretty much identical to the skirt on the Civic Sport, which I think is exactly what you're looking for.

for the 2001-2003 models, you can probably use the aftermarket OEM sideskirts and rear lip built for the Civic sedan. They're about <$200 + paint.
