New EL owner, rims/tires question - Acura Forum

Hello,
I just bought my first ever Acura and I'm trying to get it winter ready. I'm looking to pick up some rims and tires but I'm having a hard time figuring out what rims will fit. Someone has a set of 4 15' Acura GSR rims from an old Integra. Can anyone tell me if these will fit properly on my 2004 EL 1.7? And if you have any advice about which sized rims I should get for winter, I would love to hear it. Thank you in advance!

Sorry, I can't tell you if those rims will fit on the EL. If they fit on a 2001-2004 Civic, they will fit your EL.

As for rim size, when I had winter tires on my EL, I stuck with the 15" rim size, with 185/65R15 tires, which was the stock tire size for the 01-03 EL (stock size for the 04-05 EL is 195/60R15). You could go down to 14", but then you have to go to a much higher 70 sidewall, and therefore more tire flex. IMO, the stock tire profile on the EL is already high, and I wouldn't want to go higher, even with winter tires.

yes they would fit. i have the exact same rims on mine as my summers (although I did gunmetal them). stick with the 195/60R15 tire size if you are driving a 2004 EL

as for the width of the rim, its exactly the stock rim at 6", so its all good.
