Car Jumps when I hit a bump
Hi all. I have an '03 TL-S with 92K miles on it. I had the springs and shocks changed about 10K miles ago by a local STS tire place. They put on a set of aftermarket springs and shocks (I think Gabriel or Monroe, one of those types of brands). Anyway, whenever I hit a bump on a highway or I go over those little bumps before a toll, the whole car literally jumps to the left. I have TOYO tires on it (not the performance type, the all season ones). I took it back to the STS shop and they told me that they checked it out and everything is fine and that they couldn't reproduce it. Any ideas what it might be? I'm thinking of taking it to the dealer and having them put me back to the stock suspension. It's annoying me because I don't feel safe in my car. It also doesn't hug the road the way it used to, which is not a good feeling. I don't really have any suspension mods, except for a Neuspeed shock tower bar. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Well the aftermarket springs and shocks certainly count as suspension mods. I would be suspect of either the suspension bushings or the sway bar being broken or disconnected. Also, it could be as a result of the aftermarket springs having a significantly different rebound rate from stock.
