I checked my owner's manual and E-01 means disc changer malfunction and consult Acura Dealer. I don't have the exact same model as you so it maybe a little different for your newer TL. Check your maual. It should be in your audio system section. I think a disc is stuck in your changer though.

E01=disc changer malfunction
E02=disc in changer mechanism
E03-05=Disc changer malfunction
E06 Disc Changer MAlfunction
E07=CD magazine ejection impossible
--H=High Temperature
EEE= Mis or Dis connection of cd changer
---no magazine in changer
disc0=no disc in changer.
THis is what is in my manual. SOme of these thinge dont apply to your indash, so I would just check your manual. Someone with an 02 Type S might know more about it.

I get this sometimes too. I have to play with it, like turning it on and off, pushing the eject and load buttons repeatedly, crap like that. Eventually it will eject the CD and go back to normal. I can then put it back in and play it with no problems. No idea what brings this on.
Having same problem with CD changer with error code ErE1. Have Acura 3.5TL Type S. Occurs when attempting to eject a CD. Problem is that CD hangs up part way out. To fix: I used a 6 inch steel rule that is thin and flexible (or similar tool). Shine a flashlight in the CD slot (door should be open when attempting to eject) and observe the edge of the CD. Gently press down on the top edge of the CD with the rule. This should allow the CD to clear the jamb and to eject. If not try gently pressing the bottom edge of the CD up.
The jamming problem occurred consistently with a CD-R disc. Measured the thickness of the disc and it was 0.003 to 0.004 inches thicker than a commercial pressed CD. Guess this is enough to cause the jamb. Very poor design.
If you want to use CD-R discs in this vintage Acura CD changer, I suggest you carry a tool as descried and a flashlight in your glove box.
i had the same error code this morning, all 6 discs stuck. Acura said they couldn't do much about it and have to send the cd player away to get it fix. And all of a sudden, it works again ...

Happened to me the first day I got my 02 TL-S.in February/07.first disc in wouldn't eject right away. Hit eject a few times, turned it off and on again and disc eventually almost came out , had to grab the edge and slowly pull it out. Since that first time no problems. I figured that maybe the player had not been used for a long time and was just a little sticky.
The cd player can't handle burned CDs with labels. The labels are to thick and will end up jamming. Its alright to play burned CDs without labels. I never had a problem.
