Centric Brake Pads? Ceramic, other?

Hey guys,

I'm looking into replacing my front pads and want some suggestions. Looking for low dust, and decent performance.. don't really need top of the line stuff.

I was looking into Centric...

Acura TL Centric Front Brake Pad Set - 1999-2003 Acura TL - Centric CE105.07870
""POSI QUIET CERAMIC BRAKE PADS -- Longest Wearing, Most Advanced Material Available, Lowest Dust, Stable Friction Performance Across Wide Temperature Range, Provides A More Stable Friction Consistency, Ensuring Better Braking Performance"" $36

What do you think about these?

There are like 2 dozen to choose from here :
RockAuto Parts Catalog

Thanks!

So far no dust (unlike the previous hi-performance pads on that car). I would have cleaned the front wheels twice!

One thing I noticed about the Centric Ceramics was the lack of a cooling slot down the center of the pads. On the Plus Side, they came with shims and silencing pads. They have a nice initial bite (at least compared to the Hi-Per pads).

BUMP this topic in six months and I'll tell you more opinions.

PS The OE Acura pads work quite well for street driving and are not excessively dust-prone. Look for a dealer offering online bargains...or print those discount prices and have a local dealer try to price-match. (I don't think OE pads will go for $36 though, more like $55 with no shipping charges.)
