Memory Seat Adjustment?

Hi,
Kind of a noob question...I recently bought an used 2002 Acura TL 3.2L motor with 128K miles. I have to do the breaks, timing belt & have the car serviced in general which I'll get it done next week.

I have a question which might be silly...I don't think I got the owner's manual with the vehicle...and I am kind of not tall (5'6") and have short legs. Everytime I unlock the door, the drivers seat resets to all the way back. I dunno how to make the car remember my settings or make it stay in the position I left when I exited the car. Can anyone help me determine if this is something wrong or its normal operation?

Each remote has a small number on the back that corresponds to the memory settings stored on the door. Look and see which one you use on a regular basis (#1 or #2). Then get in the car, set the outside mirrors and the seating position to where you like them, and then on the driver's door press them MEM button followed by the number that matches your remote. Now, whenever you unlock the door with that remote, the mirrors and seat will go back to where you had them saved--even if they've been moved by a previous driver.

One note: you should do this in park with the vehicle running since the vehicle won't let you save a memory seat position while the vehicle is in motion.
