a bit more tips in removing bumper for 2002-2203 tl / tl-s

so there are quite a few instructions around on the forums on how to remove the bumper, and they are very useful.... i think i would like to stress again that the instructions on how to take off the bumper for the 99-01 model is a bit different from the one for 02-03 model, so make sure you get the right one.

here i will just attach some more pics as an appendix to those instructions already available. hope this is a bit more useful.

in order, you take off the plastic thing when you open up the hood. then another two tps. then the grill is loose (but you cant' take it off coz' it's anchored with the bumper). loosen four screws, two on each side, of the bumper. then 4 taps on the bottom of the bumper.

then on each side, put the bumper out. there is an anchor so be careful not to tear it. then just stand in frton of the grill and pull it towards you. that's it

the green arrows are the latches that attach to the front of the car, right under the headlight. you can just pull them out, they are not hard locked.

the red arrow is the part where it's anchored to the side of the car fender.

this is the side of the car (fender). i am pointing at the anchor that locked the bumper in place. basically to remove it safely, try to put the bumper up and then pull it towards you. it should work.
