Attn: hondacuraworld - legend caliper swap - does acura stock the parts still?

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...d+caliper+swap

http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=38250

If so, how much?

(BTW - credit to WI CLTypeS for bringing this to my attention. )

Well, I can get the calipers, yes....but they charge core charges until the old calipers can be returned and rebuilt. So I dunno how we'd be able to escape that hurdle. Any ideas?

Key items of interest:

(from a-tl)

"The Stock TL piston is about 45mm in diameter
The two Legend pistons are 40mm and 38mm in diameter each. "

The Caliper itself is the key item - supposedly the stock pads work just fine in them. You must use the stock studs for the caliper to attach to the hub.

My car is still braking fine.
My Legend calipers work great in wet rain.
Braking from high speeds is a little better. Stepping on pedal is smoother overall.
Now just have to find time to change my pads.

Cool - this with my recently installes SS brakelines should really help an already mostly good brake system.

Car 1: 02' TL-S

Car 3: 09' A4 Avant (B8) ordered
Okay guys, i am a lucky guy(I hope). I bought a pair of '93 NSX 2 piston brake calipers from a NSX owner who swapped them out for brembo's. Will they fit fine w/out any fabrications? Can I use my endless pads or do I have to buy a set of endless pads specifically for the nsx? I hope I got a good deal, I paid $60 a caliper. He was asking for a $90 a caliper. He also used them for a little over 55k. Oh oh and what can I use to clean these real good and what color should I paint them? Thanks....

Yo can use any pads for the ITR or NSX and I believe TL. The price you paid is dirt cheap. Just clean them and it will look nice.
You may want to replace the seals/dust boots on the calipers to ensure your safety. Go to H-A parts for those.
