Dean,
What are the HP/TQ based on? Would it be different for the type-Ses?

Damn - not bad at all! Sounds like a great bargain per HP!
These reduce the parasitic drag of the stock pulleys, right? What affect does that have on battery charging, etc?

Jeez - I just spent the last 1-2 hours perusing all that info there. Dean, do you have any input into the diatribe that has become those threads?

autoxCLS,
Yeah, that is a whole bunch of info..... The whole TVD discussion is pretty much beat to death. We have used these pullies since they came out and have had no fitment, performance or reliability issues with any of them. We have them installed on pretty much everything from 300ZX-TT's to Mustangs and everything inbetween. Bottom line, they work. Does that help? Dean

It seems that the TVD is just there because it always has been for the old 3.0 V6. Makes sense that Honda would just keep using it on ours because - well - it works. How much should installation and a new belt for this application cost, and when can I drive to Orlando and have you do it? ![]()

Now all I need is the money!
This is a mod that is 1st on my list, IMO. Cheapest performance / $ available.

Deansbluesi:
Dean...do me a favor on this one and assuage my concern about underpowering the power steering and alternator to get this power. I totally can't do that for the alternator...that's why I frickin got one rebuilt in the first place. However, I wonder about the difference in feel for the power steering by underpowering it. The other Q I have...isn't one of those pullies a crank pulley? So does that mean that everything will be turning faster...or well I should say this. If I just replace the stock crank pulley with that new one, will everything else be spinning faster? Because if so...that's totally not compatible with rebuilt alternators (can we say totally fried?). Lastly...do you do parting out on these? Aka since I don't want the alternator pulley, and may be too scared to get the PS pulley...can I just get the crank pulley? Or do they offer a PS pulley that's just lighter and not a different size? Austin519,
OK, here we go: ![]() 1. Alternator pulley is actually larger, so it will spin slower than stock to "free up" more power. The only thing you MAY notice is when you are at a stoplight, your headlights may dim a little but as soon as you hit the gas they will come back up. No issues at all. (Aren't you running caps anyway--that will fix this one) 2. Power Steering pulley is larger as well and you will feel no difference at all in the way the car drives. 3. With underdrive pulleys, everthing will run slower, not faster. Those would be OVERdrive pulleys---sorry had to do that ![]() 4. If you guys would just like to do the crank pulley, I can do that too. Not a problem at all. The crank pulley by itself would be $189 shipped. Hows that? Dean
