05 TSX Change fuel filter
Was wondering if anyone has changed fuel filter and know its location? Does it change like any other fuel filter or are there special considerations? Thanks in advance.

Is there a reason why you're changing it so early?

It should be pretty straightforward also. I believe its in the trunk area, remove the trunk floor, and then there's an access cover. Take the cover off and then you will see the top of the sending unit. Take it out from the top and the filter will be attached right underneath it.

Is there a certain mileage that I should change it? Is Acura different? I have always changed fuel filters between 35,000 and 45,000 miles. I have never had to replace a fuel pump. Maybe I am lucky but I believe a fuel pump that has to work harder because of a dirty fuel filter will wear out earlier. Maybe I am wrong. It has just been my experience.
Redlight I want to thank for the explicit instructions. Thanks so much. BTW is there a special procedure to relieve pressure from the fuel system? |

I think all you have to do to relieve the pressure would be to unscrew your fuel cap. You're right on the dirty filter, but unless you know you had really bad gas, I havent worried about it. Good luck!
