Car 1: 2005 TSX
2006 TSX Issues

Hello everyone. My daughter just purchased a 2006 TSX that recently came off lease. We live in Jacksonville Florida and we got it in Gainesville Florida.

This is a very impressive car to say the least. However with 10 miles of the dealership, something happened that makes no sense to me. So I thought that I would turn to the forum to see if they can help.

While driving it the navigation system basically turns itself off and then back on again. 1 time when it did this, a few lights came on the information panel. 1 message referred to the ABS and the other referred to the VDS i think. We stopped to get something to eat, I checked the battery connection and the negative side was loose. The dealer said that they put a new battery in.

On the way home, nothing else happened and the warning lights where off.

She is now telling me that it has started again. The navigation turns itself off and back on again and different warning lights come on the information area.

It is under warranty, so I was wondering has anyone else on the forum experienced this and can give some tips for me to pass to the 18 year old that is to excited about owning an Acura than to really pay attention. lol

I look foward to all responses! Stephendudra@Yahoo.com

Definitely take it back to the dealer, or a dealer, and have that checked out.

First off, Stephen, to AcuraWorld! As far as the issues, I would suggest that you copy and paste your submission in the "Ask The Dealer" Forum, which is the main lists of available forums.

Tim (Hondacurawolrd) works for a dealership in NY State and may be able to help you out with suggestions or, if this a known issue, by pointing out the problem and offering a solution. Tim is also a great resource for genuine Acura Parts, should you ever need them.

Again, Welcome to AW. Hope this starts to answer your concern.

John

I'm willing to bet this is either a battery or alternator issue. More likely then not, it'll be the battery. My replacement battery of choice is the Odyssey PC1200, then followed by the Interstate Megatron (green top)
