Installing Blitzsafe on TSX

I installed a Blitzsafe V2X in my '05 TSX. This device allows me to play any audio device with audio output thru the TSX stereo system. I have an old Archos MP3 player, I don't have an iPod ...but hey, it works.

The installation took me 30 minutes because I never took apart my TSX before. I read somewhere that someone did it in 3 minutes. I guess that is possible if he was experienced in taking apart his TSX.

The trick to installing the Blitzsafe V2X is to remove the storage bin below the stereo. BTW, I don't have navi. This storage bin can be removed by opening the door on both top and bottom storage bin, and then grab on to the top storage bin's interior (not the door), then pull it out gently. The top storage bin is held in by a couple of clips, so you will need to use some muscle but not too much.

Once removed, reach in to grab the 14-pin connector under the stereo and unplug it. Plug the Blitzsafe 14-pin female connector into the stereo. Plug the original 14-pin connector into the 14-pin male connector of Blitzsafe.

You can now play any audio device thru your TSX stereo system. Press the CD/XM button, keep pressing until the display shows "T- D-" or something like that, then start your audio device.

As for how to put everything back together, there is plenty of room behind the top storage bin to keep the Blitzsafe inside. The Blitzsafe comes with 2 female RCA connectors. I plugged a Y-cable into them and converted the RCA connectors into a 3.5mm stereo headphone connector. I found an opening near the floormat on the driver's side that leads to the compartment where all these cables run, and I ran the 3.5mm connector out of this opening. This allows me to put all the storage bins back so my car looks the way it used to. For now, I will hide the 3.5mm connector and cable under the driver side floormat when not in use.

Unfortunately, Blitzsafe did not provide any instruction on how to open up your TSX. I hope this helps.

I have the Eibach prokit and I would say that the ride quality is a nice balance between a firm, sporty ride and a smooth comfortable ride. I highly recommend it - both for the visual and performance reasons - you'll love it.
