Front axle......
Anyone have their cv joint(s) go bad on their TSX as of yet? It sure sounds like mine is with just over 50,000 miles.

Are the rubber boots cracked? Are you gettting a clicking sound when you make a turn? Can you describe the sounds its making? Does it only happen on one side? Sorry for all of the questions, but CV joints usually go the distance unless you hit some road debris (never in NY) and damged the boot/s. Not much you do except replace the offending CV joint and install a 2 piece boot. Good luck OEM Bob

Yes it is a clicking sound, I know what a cv joint sounds like. The boot is fine and I have never hit anything to make it otherwise. I'm thinking it was a poorly manufactured axle or it had little to no grease on it from new. I'll let you know what the dealer finds.

Dealer is saying it is something in the tranny. I have an extended warranty of 7 year/100k, so they are trying to get authorization if it's going to be covered. The car has 53,000 miles on it, it better be covered. Anyone else have a problematic tranny that needed to be replaced? Service stated that they usually just replace the whole tranny on this car.
