Don't see any reason to change the stock filter if it isn't dirty yet... Unless you want to get an aftermarket intake... if not, then I would go with a K&N filter...

I've already replaced my Injen CAI filter, but are you talking about the intake filter of the cabin air filter?

According to Honda the cabin air filter (sometimes called the "Dust and Pollen Filter") should be replaced every 30,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first.

Open the glove box. Remove the hook-like dampers from each side of the glove box to let the glove box hang down. You will see the filter dead center - just pull it out of the evaporator and replace it! Pretty easy. I have not replaced mine, but I found the filter when working on another project.

The AEM intake will come with the right kind of filter, no worries there. The K&N filter that they are talking about is a drop in replacement for the stock airbox that has better flow stats than the stock filter.

how is it better? I've heard that it increases HP? Is that true and if so by how much?

Thanks!

You might get a few (1 or 2 HP) at the wheels but nothing major.
