Headunit Locked out

Hey guys, first post but hello

A friend of mine went on a trip for 11 days and had her '06 tsx parked at the airport, up here in canada it gets cold so it was dead when she got back and upon starting it asked her to type in the code to unlock her stero.

She didnt know what that was so she started pressing buttons and not its permenantly locked out. We have the code now what i explained to her what it actually is but still unsure as to how to get back to the option of putting it in to unlock it.

I found something on the net with pressing 1 and power but it plays for about 2 minutes and then locks out again.

I know acura could probably fix it and charge a entire hours worth of labor for pressing a couple buttons so figured i'd try other means before going to them.

Typically, you have to wait a day before retrying the code. As an alternative you can remove BOTH battery terminals, then touch the wires together to 'ground out' the system. You can then retry the code.
