Looking for good quality license frames - Acura Forum

I have been looking around the web for some nice license frames, but thought I would see if anyone here has a suggestion. I'm not in favor of billet aluminum, since we are at the headwaters of salty roads in the winter. A high quality chrome would be good, but stainless would be preferred.

You would think it wouldn't be too hard to find such a thing......but I have tried and haven't come up with much. Do you know how hard it is to find just a plain black quality license plate frame? They're like non-existent! Let us know how you make out.

Here ya go.... http://www.autostuff.com/blliplfr.html ...these look like the best I could find. I was just wondering if anyone had experience to share. I am probably going to order a pair from here tonight. Can't decide on the stainless or engraved ones.....

You can get quality Acura license plate frames from the dealer or Hondacuraworld.

I was rather amazed that our dealer only had the cheap plastic frames that has the dealer name on them....

I asked in the parts dept and they said Acura didn't make or supply better frames.
I orderd a pair from auto stuff and just received a conformation email that they shipped today. We shall see what they look like next week.

I received the frames a couple days ago and they do look like good quality, but jeeeeez, $86 with shipping is a little steep for what they are. I will get them on the car this weekend and post some pics.....

Yeah that is pricey just for license plate frames.

Got the frames on and took a couple pics. They are nice frames, just a lot lighter than I was thinking they would be. They do come with a lifetime warranty on the plating, so we shall see how long they last.

Yes. They are "coin pressed" from copper sheet and I was thinking they would be of a heavier gauge...like a penny. Oh well, they do look good and compliment the other chrome ornamentation much better than the cheezy black plastic dealer frames........ and the little woman likes them so it payed off.....

Update........I recently noticed the black X on the rear frame was missing........

I contacted the supplier and they said.."just send it back and we will exchange it". I asked if I could send it COD and was told I would have to pay the return shipping.

I'm never happy about that policy, but I will send it back for a replacement anyway, just more cost for an already pricey item.

The "TSX" letters are raised and glued onto the frame then? That does suck, but hopefully they will work with you!
