Red face New Guy On Your Forum

Purchased my first Acura one month ago, an '07. Traded a '02 330ci BMW I used fro over 5 years and over 50K miles.. The new ones are not spare tires equipped and you take run flats or go elsewars. I took the latter route. It has taken a month to learn how to operate and Navigate my newbie. The Navigator is entirely different from the Bimmer.
Impressions as of today following 800 miles:

Much Car for the money.
Amazing punch for a 4 banger with no Turbo.
True 22 to 23 in town driving
Big wind and tire noise which is acceptable so far.
Can't vouch for brakes in panic stop but they have done their job nicely so far.
A/C while sqirrely very efficient in the Florida climate. (Am accustomed to fully auromatic blower and temp control). Auto setting in Acura only cools top, not feet.
While the swap took an act of humility it also expresses common sense which I have always had zilch.
After 12 years and 2 BMW's (528 and 330ci) I am very cautious with the Acura when it comes to accelerating to keep out of trouble till I get to know the car better, Most in town driving rarely exceeds 45 to 50 and the TSX does this just fine.

Am interested in hot wiring my "Bel: Detector and I see a thread on that to digest.

Am having Park Sensor installed on Thursday as I am used to them. It saves backing over soemones youngster as well as bending the bumper cover .. Night time especially.

Glad to be with you and while I have gone from a hot baby to a more sedate but not totaly unresponsive one it will be enjoyable to chat.

Welcome to Acuraworld. You made an excellent choice in going with a TSX over the BMW, for all the reasons you listed. I definetly wouldn't say that you went from a hot baby to a more sedate, EVERYONE has a freakin bimmer.

Thumbs up Welcome

Welcome to Acuraworld! The TSX is one car I will not forget. I had one of the first models back in 2003 and had absolutely no problems with her. She was in Milano Red. It was a great little car. Sometimes I wish I had still had her.

Good Luck!
