Yeah I hate the new grills. And not enough power - LESS hp than the last gen.

But I do like the look.

Darn you beat me to it! I just read the email from Acura.

My thoughts... I do not like it. The front is ugly. They pushed the navi back (which I do not like) instead of having it flush with the dash...

I am not too happy about the change. If it doesn't do well then maybe I'll have a higher resale value.

But the AT does come with paddle shifters. That's pretty cool.

It's going to do fine, which doesn't matter because you're going to have a good resale value regardless. I dont mind the looks of the car, the grill isn't bad, the car will grow on you. Nobody liked the first gen. looks of the TSX either at first.

Looks like a fuglified version of the 1st-gen to me...I still love those cars. It's like they tried to put Bimmer-style curves on the body, and it's not working at all IMHO.

I kept looking at the new style and trying to see if it could ever work... eventually I decided to open up Photoshop and give my own restyle:

I definitely see potential for tuners. But it will need work.

Ryan, if the buck tooth that dives into the front bumper were gone, and the grill was narrower, I could see some potential.

Can't say I'm feeling it either. Not too crazy about the grille for one. The JDM Accord grille is better, but still looks too big. Some of those angles just don't look right either. The interior to me is a big disappointment. It looks cheaper, but I'll have to touch and feel a showroom model when I am at a dealership. I don't like the direction Honda is going by throwing in so many buttons as they can on the center stack. That has been a huge criticism of the new USDM Accord. HP might be down, but the torque has been increased, I guess to compensate.

All this disappointment in the 2009 model though, makes me feel better about my 2006.

Now that you bring that up, in 2007 I got an RDX as a Loaner. It had paddle shifters and sequential sport shift on the stick. I recently got a 2008 RDX loaner and it only had paddle shifters. It looks like on the 09 TSX there will also only be Paddle shifters. I am a fan of the original SSS. Makes me feel like I am driving manual. Would you prefer to have both of just one? I like both. Maybe I should start a thread about that.

I did notice that is somewhat awkward to change gears as the wheel is turning with the paddleshifters. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I am not a heavy mod fan, but ......yeah..taking that grill off is the FIRST thing I would do.

Paddle shifters

Just get the 6 speed manual tranny. So much better than auto.
