Outside air temperature gauge

Anyone have a problem with their O.A. temp gauge being off? Mine is 3-5 degrees higher of actual air temp. Is there a way to re-calibrate?

Hmmmm.

Hey Redlight,

As I recall you had to be driving at least 35MPH for around 15 minutes to obtain an accurate reading on the O.A. Temp sensor. I think the sensor is located in the bumper behind the crash pad.

See ya

I'm aware of that......I think it's more like 5 minutes, but whatever, this is definetly after awhile driving. It always used to be correct, but now is off.

How do you know it's off? What are you comparing it to?

Remember, the roads are usually hotter than the surrounding areas. If you were to check the weather on the TV or online, it might be off due to that fact.

There's a time and temp place on the way to and from work......it used to be correct with their display. It is now consistently 3-5 degrees hotter, night, day, doesnt matter.

Did you happen to look at the sensor? Perhaps its caked with dirt? What does the owners manual say? I recall seeing something about the temp may not always be accurate.

Good luck

Can be recalibrated +,-3 degrees. Turn ign switch on, press and hold reset select button for 10. While holding button, the display will scroll through temp setting from +3 degrees to -3 degrees. When you are at the desired correction value, release the button.
