Questions from New '08 TSX Owner - Acura Forum

I just purchased a 2008 TSX, 6-speed w/o Nav.

Two quick questions:

1. Is there a way to make the doors automatically lock once driving and to unlock once stopped? I could not find this in the owners manual so I assume not.

2. If you leave the headlight switch in the full on position (I know they will turn off when you shut the driver's door after a user definable time period) to simulate headlight auto on/off (like my previous car), are the headlights on at full intensity during the day? I do not want to "use up" the expensive HID bulbs if the lights are on full intensity during daylight driving.

I don't know if the 08's have daytime running lights, I assume not, so if you are manually turning your lights on by the switch, then they would be at full intensity.

First off, welcome to Acuraworld!

The quick answer to your questions are no and yes, respectively.

I do not believe there is a way to program the doors to lock while driving and unlock once stopped. That is something that Acura themselves would have to implement in the vehicle.

And as redlight has already mentioned, your headlights, specifically the HID's, would be on full intensity if the switch is set to "on" during the day. It's the same as if they were on during the night.
