Tires

I need to replace my stockers on my TSX with 42,000 miles on them. I was very happy with the tire, might be a bit noisy, but other than that I cant complain. What have you switched to and liked/dis-liked about comparable tires? What do you recommend? The stockers go for $200 a tire. Definetly dont want to paying that price for the tire. Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks.

I'm guessing you're looking for all-season?

Here's a Tirerack link for 215/50-17:

For a summer tire I know the Pirelli PZero Nero has great performance.

For an all-season I suggest Continental ContiProContact, as I know Jon uses that tire and likes it.

I just replaced my (on the TL when I bought it)BFG Traction T/A's with another set, quite pleased with them. TireRack has various user reviews most good but some bad on them but that seemed to be typical of any brand I searched. I have almost always run a/s tires in spite of living in a city where Winter brings extremes of temperature and generally lots of snow. I don't drive too aggressively mind you, and they seem to offer pretty good performance and longevity for the price.

One other comment about the T/As they are directional tires, so no cross rotation. If that matters to you?

Yeah I was looking for an all season tire that was comparable to the stockers with the load rating, temp., traction, wear, etc. I have looked through Tirerack and others, but really cant find one that matches up to the quality of the stock ones. But as mentioned before, I dont want to break the bank either. Thanks for the input on what seems to be working for you guys!

Looks like either the Continental ContiPro Contact or the Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge.
