TSX Oil Capacity

The owners manual says that my 2007 TSX should take 4.4 quarts of oil but when I changed the oil the first time it took 5 quarts. Does this make sense?

My 06 TSX takes 5 quarts with the filter every time (I've done 4 oil changes so far). My manual also says the capacity with filter is 4.4 Qrts

Thanks, so I'm not crazy. Actually it makes oil changes easier since I like to use the 5 qt jugs of Mobil 1. BTW could they have put the oil filter in a harder location to get to?

I just love getting my forearm toasted on the exhaust pipe trying to get the bugger off. I usually take the passenger tire off to get better access. I also love the fact that the filter is @ 90degrees when mounted to the block that way when you remove it you are sure to have a spill. I can see an oil filter relocation kit in my future.

They did make the filter a POS.

But 5 should be fine.
