I can pinpoint your exact location if I really wanted to - but posting that on the internet would not be the nicest thing to do.

Warning

I know this is an old thread and Im not really a big import tuner guy but after doing some online research and buying the Gen2 Turbonator, I have this to say to anyone looking into it.
On a modded 04 5.7 Hemi with 327whp the Turbonator bumped me up to a whopping 329hp (Dyno tested @ Extreme Motorsports). Im unsure what the claims of 7-15% increase are based on but in my oppinion for $280 its a pos mod. Buy a TBS and take the gf out somewhere nice, better performance results and you get laid.
Im posting on a few google found forums dealing with this mod as a warning to save some people money.
But to get a little moneys worth of mine I swapped out the clynder casing for translucent red piping, and and painted the turbine blades red with the beloved black swirl. I put it on every so often for car meets and get some questions about it: but in the end Id say your basically paying for a neat engine dress up piece, or pure ricer mod.

p.s. I concider a "ricer" to be someone who has a wing on their car that weighs more then they do, and buy a muffler tip call it an exhaust kit. So please none of you take it as an insult Im not refering to you, imports are hot but at 20 with son on the way I like my hemi

Ill check back here in a few days to answer any questions anyone may have, but after that Ill delete the account and leave Acura forums to Acura tuners.

There is no way a Turbonator works....Explain how that thing could actually generate anything? It's scientifically retarded....

With it restricting the airflow I really have no idea how it actually managed to add hp or if it was even the result on the 2nd dyno. Im going to have to say the 2hp was a fluke and some higher power was at work there, or it was just a better run. We all actually thought the hp would drop. Such a mod could never "add power", the whole reason I tested it was to post the results on youtube and show proof it was a POS. But thanks to my gf the memory card with the videos are either lost or somewhere in the hidden in the appartment. Anyone who supports it at a performance mod would also be a strong supported of *adding flame stickers to your car adds 20hp!*. Nobody who actually knows about induction systems would have anything good to say about a Turbonator, nor a Tornado. TBS's vary results from engine to engine so theres no real way to say they are a universaly good mod. But goodluck to all of you with Acura's. I might be buying a TL here in the near future, but I have to look around at some other 4d's before I get rid of my teg. Even though I love my Hemi I still need a daily driver.

Bingo - a 2hp variance could be anything.

Exactly....it's funny, I found this thread because I was searching for "HEMI supercharger". I think every car forum has a thread about this. Unfortunately, there are too many people that fall for this scam...mainly because to someone who isn't knowledgeable about how engines work, it sounds feasible. Think about it - an engine generally adds more fuel when you add more air, and hence more power. If that's about all you know about engines, logic follows that adding a fan in the intake tube to push more air in should add more power. The breakdown in the logic is that no fan can push that air through the intake tube faster than the engine already sucks it in (short of a REAL supercharger, which is a WAY more sophisticated "fan"). This scam of a product has been around forever, and there will always be buyers for it. An easier way to get more power from that end is by lessening the restrictions so the engine can suck more air in on its own.
