Exclamation Will This Void The Warranty

I had to replace the 2 rear speakers in my car because they were blown. Now, (3 weeks later), all the speakers in the rear section are not working. This is including the speakers on the door (which I didnt replace). I check all wiring and fuses possible. I still cannot figure this out. I've been told I could have blown the factory amp. I scheduled and appointment with Acura to fix this for me. Is the warranty void because I replaced the speakers? Thanks For ANY Help In Advance!!

Hmmm...thats a tough one..Acura can blame you on the replacing those speakers, but it sounds to me (no pun intended) like you have had the amp just cranked up a little too much..I know when I was 19 or so (now I sound like dad) I had my Jensens and my brand new Jensen AM/FM and Cassette at very high levels in my 1975 Chevy Nova. Ah, listening to Saturday Night fever....getting drunk and walking home..puking my guts up later...

Anyway you have to come up with a story that is believable..not pure BS but almost sounds like the truth. You can tell if the amp is fried by looking looking at the output transistors. They have that nice burnt odor to them.

Hell just tell them the truth and see what happens...you are probably better off going after market for an amp and speakers as opposed to paying dealer prices - that is just in case they will not honor the warranty.

Good luck

More then likely you have voided the warranty because you put in something aftermarket. As soon as they see that, they will blame the speakers in there for the problems.
