Car 1: 2000 Acura RL
2000 RL hard to start

My car takes a while to turn over (much longer than usual), especially when cold, or even while warm if it's been left sitting all night. This is a new phenomenon, and all of my maintenance is up to date, including new spark plugs and 2-year old battery. It runs fine once it starts. Any ideas???

Are you saying the engine turns over slowly? Or does it have to turn over more times before it starts?

The starter just has to fire for more time than usual before it actually starts the motor.

Could be a starter starting to get weak.

Doubt it if the speed of the starter is rotating the engine properly. Have a mechanic check the voltage of the crank sensor. When a crank sensor starts to go it can give a few second delay in an engines ignition.
