Car 1: TL 2.5
97 2.5 TL Brake problem

Hey there:

I've got a problem with my brakes. The other day my drivers side brakes locked up against my rotor from being too worn. I have since changed the brakes etc out, but now I cannot get them to catch properly.

Symptoms: My brake pedal goes directly to the floor even after bleeding. Do I need to bleed all 4 calipers? I never needed to with my front brakes, but may have to with rear?

I'm thinking it may be a master cylinder problem, but want to make sure before buying a new one. At one time(with the car running) the brakes got hard while bleeding, but it went to floor about 30 seconds later.

So my specific questions are: Am I supposed to bleed all 4 calipers or can it be just the 2? And does it matter if the car is on? I've bled only the 2 rear calipers while car running. Made sure the fluid was topped off too. Any advice would be app! Thank you.

Bleed all calipers. If it still goes to the floor, then it must be a bad master cylinder that needs replacing.
