97 2.5 TL Brake problem
Hey there:
I've got a problem with my brakes. The other day my drivers side brakes locked up against my rotor from being too worn. I have since changed the brakes etc out, but now I cannot get them to catch properly. Symptoms: My brake pedal goes directly to the floor even after bleeding. Do I need to bleed all 4 calipers? I never needed to with my front brakes, but may have to with rear? I'm thinking it may be a master cylinder problem, but want to make sure before buying a new one. At one time(with the car running) the brakes got hard while bleeding, but it went to floor about 30 seconds later. So my specific questions are: Am I supposed to bleed all 4 calipers or can it be just the 2? And does it matter if the car is on? I've bled only the 2 rear calipers while car running. Made sure the fluid was topped off too. Any advice would be app! Thank you. |

Bleed all calipers. If it still goes to the floor, then it must be a bad master cylinder that needs replacing.
