Anyone replaced TL cruise control button?

The cruise control button (labeled "cruise" on the right side of steering wheel) has stopped toggling the cruise control on and off. The dash cruise control light will only stay on if I hold down the "cruise" button, so I think I need to replace the entire button assembly. I'm trying to find out if I need to take out the air bag in order to replace the switch assembly. Does anyone have experience doing this, or instructions on how to replace the cruise control button assembly? Thanks.
