Question Instructions on replacing HID bulb?

I have searched this topic and have not found an answer. My '03 3.2TL pass. side low beam does not come on. Im thinking that the bulb is the first thing to check. Is replacement of D2R bulb as straightforward as replacing halogen bulb, eg. wear gloves while handling? Do I need tools to access bulb or is it a "push and twist" assy? I have also seen that I need to disconnect battery and allow cap. to discharge prior to replacement.? Any help or link appreciated. BTW I intend to get 4300K Philips bulb. Thanks.

Rule number 1, you always disconnect the battery terminals when working on anything electrical on a car.
I found that when working on the headlights of any Honda car life is easier if you take the remove headlight housing. take the front bumper cover off (2o min job) 1o mm socket and a flat head screw driver. once that's off the same socket used to remove the bumper takes the head light housing off. Now you can replace the bulbs without worrying about dropping them or getting oils or dirt on them. oh and i don't know if you know this, but don't touch the glass on the bulbs with your hands. oils from you hands may cause them to blow out.

oh and check you fuses.... i was ready to buy a whole new hid kit for my car when all i needed was a 50 cent fuse!! lol.......
