2004 Transmission shudder - Help

Hi,
I just purchased a 2004 Acura TL with the auto transmissoin. I love the car...

However, if I am just crusiing around, taking it easy, I have noticed a little "shudder" around 25~30mph. I think its happening right as the tranny shifts, but not certain. It'll spudder 5 or 6 times, then continue on down the road. My gf can notice it also if shes in the passenger seat.

Anyone had this problem?

thanks

Found a few other posts from people who have the same issue. I guess I'll have the fluid changed at the dealer, see if that helps.

Speaking of dealers.....There is a Honda dealership about 40mins away, which I thought I could use to service my TL as well. But looking at certified Acura dealers on there website, the closest is about 1.5 hrs away from me (around Indianapolis). So I guess not all Honda dealers can work on Acuras??

There can also be an issue with the shift solenoids. Be sure to have those checked as well.

thanks Duckdog. Ill have them checked. A couple more questions:

1. can I have my local Honda dealer perform these items?

2. I'd like to see if all the "updates" (forget what you call them...TSL's??) have been performed on this car. Im talking about recalls ..or updates for my particular model. how can I verify this? Acura dealer?

INAcura...

I have the same problem. the local Honda guy is 5 miles away but I have to go 20 to get to an Acura dealer. The Honda guy will NOT do mechanical work on my TL. They will do all fluid changes but that's about it. It may be a Honda "jurisdiction/territory" thing or it may be that Acura certification may be needed from a liability standpoint, but that's what they tell me.

YMMV....

I replaced my 3rd and 4th gear shifting solenoids and did my transmission fluid about 6 months ago. I have never had it slip, but some people say these 2 things goes a long way in these TL's. I did my solenoids for $68 in 1 hour 2 weeks ago.
