hello acuraworld members, yesterday, someone rear ended my leased tl type s (NOT my fault!). ive only had the car 4 a week .
i made a police report and everything, but i wanted to know if i should get an estimate from my dealer and since its leased will they want me to only fix it at the acura dealer? or does the insurance company take care of the estimates? thx in advance!

Find a good reputable body shop in your area or go to the dealer...... dont let the other party's insurance tell you what shop to go to.

My TL was rear-ended last October. My dealer replaced the rear bumper and gave me a loaner TL...the other guy's insurance covered everything. The new bumper is fully warranted for as long as I own the car.

Just go to the dealer, get an estimate and have them deal directly with the insurance company. As long as the insurance covers everything, you're good to go.
