Car 1: Acura Legend Car 2: Acura CL Type-S Car 3: Acura TL |
Let me introduce you to my predicament. So I have more recently than not purchased an 2007 Acura TL with all the bells and whistles... less the Type-S
. More specifically I had purchased this car in the beginning of may and have driven the car for a month before my first tune-up. At the time of my tune-up they had advised me that there had been a recall on parts and a few days were needed to replace the parts. Without going too deep into detail, the few days turned into 5 weeks of driving a loaner. After receiving my car back and driving home, something felt off and to my limited knowledge because I had only driven the car for a month and it had not yet "grown" on me I noticed that my previous rims were taken. Now I have looked high and low for pictures of my car before it went into service and I can't find one but I swear that I had "deep dish" Acura stock rims.People of Acura World. My question to you is, does Acura have this option as far as rims go, because I am 150% sure that they have taken my rims, if anyone has pictures of Acura stock rims... more specifically, the spokes on the rims on the back were recessed about an 1" and on the front about 1/2" or so. I have a very clear mental picture of what the rims looked like and so if you have seen this type of rim on a TL (Stock) please notify me and either send me a picture or description of your shared experience. I truly believe I have been taken for a ride. |

are you sure those were acura rims?
you bot the car new? cause if it was preowned, someone may have just did aftermarkets and put the acura logo in. then someone in service said, hey nice rims, me likey! no rims for that sucker!! but the only reg car manufacturers that do deep dish are BMW and Mercedes.

The standard wheels on the 07 and 08 TL's are all the exact same..... no "deep dish" or "big lip" option..... The TL Type S and optional A-Spec wheels have no lip on them either.
Hope this helps clear things up

If you have the stock OEM rims, they are exactly the same all the way around. They are not "deep dish" and I believe 17" x 7.5". I believe the width on the '04 and '05 models are 8".
