Car 1: Honda Accord 92 Car 2: Acura TL AT Navi 2006 |
Hello TL Fans,
I went into an Acura dealership thinking about getting a 07 TSX. I felt that car was a good choice based on looks and fuel economy, but then just for kicks, I test drove the 06 TL. Now I'm a proud owner of a TL with all the bells and whistle. One thing I'm concerned about is did I get a good deal. This is what I got: 2006 AT Navi TL 41100k Miles Lip spoiler on the trunk Ipod link Extended bumper to bumper warranty to 2013 or 100k miles PowerTrain Warranty 2013 or 100k miles Dent Repair 5 years Certifiled from Acura Dealership in the Houston area. The drive out price which includes the extended warranty and Dent repair is 27300. What you guys think? KBB said it is valued at 25k, but emunds value it at 28k for Certified. Let's me know what you guys think. |

You got a lot of extra stuff for that price. I think you are in the ballpark of a pretty decent deal.
Those extended warranties more than likely added quite a bit of cost--but for many people that is also greatly added value.

Car 1: 2007 TL Type-S |
Was $27,300 with tax or without? I was looking at 2006's as well. The lowest price I recall seeing was $24,000 at an Acura dealer but it was a Base w/o Nav. A few weeks ago, a local Honda dealer had an '06 Base w/ Nav with about 30K miles on it. They were asking $29,000. I gave them my number and told them to call me if it went on sale for $24,000. (Of course, I would have been ready to compromise for $25,000.) The day they called me, I was driving up to Folsom, CA to look at an '07 Type-S with 20K miles. The owner of the Type-S was originally asking $30,000 but agreed on $28,000. (He just bought a brand new Corvette Z06 and wanted the TL out of his garage.) Needless to say, the Type-S is the one I bought for $28,000. I feel it was a good deal--not a steal, but a good deal.
