Help...how/where to input Radio Code 06 Acura TL

Hello everybody,

My battery just recently died on my 06 Acura TL. When I restarted my car it asked for only the radio code, not the gps/nav system code. So the GPS works fine but the audio system does not respond and displays a 'code' message above the gps screen. I KNOW what the code for my car is but the problem is that I do not know how to input it. It is a 4 digit code and the gps/nav screen display does not allow for me to put in any code digits. And the buttons for manually surfing the radio stations 1-6 are not sufficient for my code because it (my code) contains digits greater than 6 and 0. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The digits are greater than 6? I don't know about that. In my owner's manual, it says my radio code is a 5 digit number with no number greater than 6 (paraphrasing).

What does your owner's manual say? The only four-digit code I see is for my Navi.

Yes, my code is 0096. I don't see anything about my code, or how to enter it, in the owners manual.

The code itself should be a five digit number. Your four digit number is for the Nav. The description should be in the Owner's Manual, at the end of the "Radio/Audio" section. The code should be on a separate card.

OK, thanks I will certainly double check that tomorrow. Do you have any idea as to how I can enter the actual code once I find it?

When you turn on the audio system, it will ask you for the code. You'll just press in the correct numerical sequence using the preset buttons.

The problem is the fact that I am positive that my code is 0096. Because I remember having to in the distant past enter that code... I just don't remember how I did it . I think there is some way to allow for the code to be entered onto the gps screen display so I could enter all numerical digits 0-9.

Was it a four-digit code?
