Horsepower Loss

My 05 TL has been acting very strange as of late.
Usually I have to be careful not to chirp the tires at start off. But lately I have had to give 1/2 throttle just to get it moving. There is also an ever so slight vibration between 1000 and 3000 RPM.
Seems kind of like a mixture problem seeing as how it using alot more gas lately.

Any ideas? Please help

Do you have a SES/Check engine light on? Sounds sensor related like a bad o2 sensor or MAF.

bad gas ?? the plugs can tell you a lot about what may be wrong.... i did a quik oogle search and found a few others who have same kinda issue from 2004 model. perhaps a throttle by wire issue? my 2006 Tacoma is TbW and if i jam the gas a certain way i can notice a lag... i dont like TbW setups. something to try is yank a battery cable for 30min and put it back, maybe the ecm will reset and fix the issue. i doubt it would be O2 sensor related... possibly a dirty MAF.

Figured out the problem 5000 foot elevation change. I drive up and down a mountain three times a week.

BTW there were no codes or lights on.
