NAV screen

Does anyone know how to dim the NAV screen. It should dim when you turn on the lights but for some reason it isnt working. I have gone into the screen set up to check if it is set on auto (and it is) so im kinda at a dead end. Can you reset your settings somehow?

Not sure what to tell you on that. All I know is for mine when head lights turn on, my Nav screen is set to switch from bright tan color background to black color background. Have u tried that?

Try adjusting the dash console brightness. The two are interconnected.

Control through Navi too

On my 2006 there is a separate brightness control in the Navi system. Click on Set-up under the screen and the brightness slider bar is near the top of the Set-up screen. There's also a volume control. You'll also find display settings such as: off, auto, day and night. The brightness is also controlled by the dash brightness settings, but only partially. If you select max or leave the max setting for the dash lighting, the navi brightness adjusts. But if you just adjust the dash brightness without going in or out of Max, there is no effect on the navi screen. That may be a good thing in case you want different brightness between the dash and navi.
