i am sure you can but if the remote is built in to the fob you wont be able to leave the car running without the key in unless you use the second fob. I had that on my mx5 and was happy to get back to the normal fob and key. just my 02 however.

I had on 06 and traded it for an 07 and I liked the 06 setup better. Flipout key looks cool but you can't start your car and let it warm up without the second fob. My Ridgeline is the same way and I prefer the key and fob separate. If you lose one it is going to be expensive to replace also, as you have to replace the key and fob. Just my 2c

If you cut up your current key and there is also an immobilizer in your current key. Then you will have to replace the immobilizer in the 07 Key with your immobilizer from your 04-06 key. And put it all back together. After all this, all you have to do is reprogram the 07 key to work with your 04-06 TL car at your dealer or you can do it yourself. Then you can start your car and warm up with only one Key fob which is the 07 KEY. |

my question is why do you want one. along with the aforementioned problem of warming up your car, the new key fob feels quiet odd when you are putting it in the ignition and starting the car. I mean, it does not make me hate it, but if they had given me a choice, I would have went with the 06 design. It really feels clunky to me. Is there a "cool factor" to it?
